SO, what is Subtle Body Anatomy Yoga, and what's it all about? Western yoga, with a focus on doing postures, it's NOT!
Through this training, you'll learn how to easily and powerfully release stuck energy from within your own body-mind system, AND then intelligently and deliberately CHOOSE how or where to direct the use of that energy and consciousness in a way that empowers you to align with our core values, and make choices that contribute to your healing, growth, or change of direction.
The effects of this powerful practice touches all parts of you; cellular repair and regeneration, stress and anxiety reduction, improved sleep, better digestion, trauma release; as well as changes in relationships to yourself and others, in work, self-esteem, authenticity. And most of all, a fully felt sense of being connected to your authentic Self, and being fully alive and present in your body and to your life-force.
You might love your personal mind-body practice and want to hone your efforts in a productive way, or you might be a yoga teacher with a 200hr or a 500hr certification already, and feel that there might be a different depth of knowledge within yourself, that you could access, for yourself and for your students. Subtle Body Anatomy as it's called in yoga is, in effect, the intelligence of Spirit arranged in human form. It is at the same time pure energy and power, and our body and personality! It is the living expression of the Laws of Nature, that we now have instant access to, and tools to work with, through our own sensate body. It's really flippin cool.
This training then is an opportunity for you to become familiar with the underlying energetic principles and movement of energy that inform all physiological and psychological systems in the human body-mind; and to take an empowering journey of growth, healing and enriching body-mind health, with an understanding of the laws of nature, that govern creation and creates all life. We are not separate from Spirit, we are part of nature and all of creation, already. But how to consciously APPLY that knowledge in favour of our health, and other aspects of our life? You're already WHOLE HERE and NOW, and this training is an invitation to meet that power that already resides within you, your simple and remarkable holy humanness.
An astounding amount of pure Power, Intelligence and Aliveness is literally Already within you, available to you in every moment. And, you can learn how to work with it. No, its not about how it feels!
This course is the result of years of work, and i've put this together with the purpose of comprehensively sharing the tools that allow you to know and access the power and wisdom of our innate human, natural, sacred biology. These simple energetic principles, that are not being taught today in western yoga, are the foundation of our human experience, and in this training you'll learn how to work with them to balance and reverse patterns of body-mind illness and stress, in a non-dogmatic, experience based learning.
The purpose is to give you accessible, simple yet profoundly effective practices and teachings that allow you to deeply access the wisdom that is innate in each humans body; to develop both a way to practice for yourself, and more importantly, practical tools for balanced and empowered way of life.
You'll understand the interrelationship of the principles inherent in the Directions - Vayu’s, Energy Pathways - Nadi’s, PowerCenters - Chakras, and mind-body aspects - Koshas; how to access them for your own empowerment and health, and how they may inform your own teaching. Understanding these principles and their effects informs mind-body practices, but more importantly, provides a space for reflection, self-knowledge, and change of actions and choices through personal growth that carries straight into real life.
The course emphasizes a deep personal understanding, application and demonstration of aspects of the physiology and psychology of the laws of nature, and your Self; in other words, the mind-body connection, in real life; for mental/emotional balance, balanced relationships, professional balance, personal and spiritual fulfillment.
If you pass, you'll be certified to teach the preparation work for body-mind practices based on the Subtle Body Anatomy Yoga body of work, as well as specific yoga asana / postures, and sequences founded on those principles, that we cover on the training.

- Restorative yoga practices; specific purpose and methods.
- Subtle Body Psychology; investigating the body - mind - emotion connection of chakras and koshas to real life issues (yes you will have a journey of personal growth)
- Deep Guided Meditation / Transmission / Teaching / Energy Medicine Sessions; connecting with the Self.
- Professional Practice; Purpose, Service, Being a Teacher, Dharma, Responsibilities, Awareness
- Principles of teaching; Purpose, intention, service, dharma, inspiration, health, safety, community.
- Teaching Methodology: Principles of Subtle Body Anatomy, sequencing, language, voice, intention, clarity, communication, service, reading energy, modifications; are you actually achieving the results you set out to deliver. Is your intention, actions, choices, communication, and the results of these in alignment, in actual reality?
You'll become knowledgeable in Yoga’s Subtle Body Anatomy; Chakra, Vayu, Nadi and Kosha and their related physiological, spiritual and psychological aspects in musculoskeletal-, neurological-, digestive -, respiratory-, and endocrine functions.
You'll learn how, and why, to structure your own practice as well as how to teach from an integrated understanding of Subtle Body Anatomy principles and perspectives with specific results.
You'll experience the value of a regular practice & meditation and listening inward, and increase your awareness and intuition of self and others.
You'll expand your body-mind experience and the wisdom in your bones about the nature, Spirit, and Power of your own humanness, and come to know how to practically apply these in real life, and in your practice.
This is not a dogmatic teaching, but simply effective tools for exploring the human condition, and connecting you to your innate source of power and connection to Your Inner Nature.
You'll be able to teach a class based on Subtle Body Anatomy principles for specific outcomes, such as balancing, strengthening, grounding, restorative.
You'll be able to lead classes in basic meditation and breathing techniques
Most of all, you'll know yourSelf a little bit more intimately. This is the Gold that you'll learn to mine, and to nurture, for cellular regeneration, and deep, centered, well-being.
Students are required to have a minimum of 2 years of regular yoga and / or meditation practice
The course consists of 23 tuition days through 9 x 2 day modules, and 1 x 5 day retreat. The 2 day modules are saturdays and sundays from 8am - 6pm, and the retreat takes place over 5 days, with at least 8 contact hours / day.
Certificate of completion of the training is awarded to those that successfully pass the ongoing assessment, exams, and papers. Continuous communication as to progress is maintained with all students.
